It?s that time of year when slugging obscene amounts of beer, dancing and singing badly in public is perfectly acceptable and outrageously amusing to say the least, hence,?Zigge Zagge Hoi Hoi Hoi.?The largest and most renowned Oktoberfest celebration in South Florida is the 39th Annual Oktoberfest in Lake Worth; this well oiled machine has its plans well under way for its annual festivities. There are a few repeat events and some newcomers to the Oktoberfest scene in South Florida, all putting their unique spin on the?original Oktoberfest held in Munich Germany.

8th Annual?Oakland Park Main Street Oktoberfest?takes place October 5 & 6. The ?Bavarian Village? will be set up in downtown Jaco Pastorius Park, 4000 North Dixie Highway (just north of NE 38th Street) between Commercial and Oakland Park Boulevards in Oakland Park.

The inaugural?Las Olas Oktoberfest?will be held on?The Riverside Hotel Lawn the weekend of September 28-30. Fritz & Franz Bierhaus along with The Riverside Hotel are hosting the event which will benefit Pace Center for Girls Broward.?Las Olas Oktoberfest is a?3-day Beer, Food, and Music Festival.

Miami/Dade County?Oktoberfest Celebrations 2012

Coral Gables Oktoberfest, October 5-14; a 10-day beer, food and music fest at Bierhaus Plaza in front of Fritz & Franz 60 Merrick Way, Coral Gables

2nd annual Oktoberfest Brickell will take place at Miami Circle October 5-7. General admission is $10 pre-paid and $15 at the door. German beers will be sold for $6-$8, and food for $4-$12. VIP tickets are $100 per day or $200 3-day pass which includes food sampling and unlimited Radeberger beers. The Bier Garden Pop Up Restaurant experience is $55/person.
