I've been role playing a good number of years, but I really didn't involved with any communities till about 00...We can thank SDCC for that one! I went my first year and the whole world of nerd/geek opened up to me. "Oh look! There's MORE like ME?!" I celebrated 12 years of SDCC, this year, and will continue to go every year until I have to die in a gauntlet to acquire tickets.
I prefer text role playing, I feel its more organic and I like the group collaboration. My arsenal of characters mainly consists of females, but I can pretty much play anything with relative ease...I really enjoy creating characters from the ground up! I have conducted RP's and managed guilds. I have done table-top role play, dabbled in D&D but it isn't necessarily my strong suit, though I did thoroughly enjoy Vampire: Masquerade.. Which leads to my next bit of information: Genre!
I've played just about every genre, but my major interference is fantasy (I think majority of the site will agree with this) and I like all the niche genres that entail with Fantasy. Paranormal and Steampunk are super high on that list!
Aside from role playing, I enjoy multiple things, but I think its safe to say if it is classified as nerdy and/or geeky...I'm most likely into it. (And as a side note: Sweetheart, I was a nerd before it was cool!) Video games also take up a large portion of my time...most likely why Im so sleep deprived. And movies, I enjoy movies. Instant Netflix is, like, my best friend EVER...Next to the Kindle, I think I love my Kindle more then I love Netflix. I also like ice cream, cellos, and comics. I dislike pancakes- thought I would throw that in there to mix things up, haha.
